Prima Banana Gloss (aka Banana Gas) wax is almost here!!
Last fall, many of you helped us test our "Banana Gas" wax prototype.
Thanks to all of our excellent NAM testers, we are pleased to announce that Banana Gloss is almost here!

We didn't want to change the name too much, as many of you expressed a liking for Banana Gas. Sooo, as a way to appease the desire to keep the name while also making it a little more descriptive of what it is, we went with Banana Gloss.
Some of our retailers, as well as us here at Detailers Paradise, will have it available starting at the end of this week (around the 4th of July or so) and others will soon stock it as well.
What makes Banana Gloss such a special wax??
Most of you found it so easy to use and so effective that they didn't mind the medium durability.
Thanks again to all you NAMers who helped us test and develop this gem of a new wax!
We hope it was fun for you! It was definitely fun for us and also very helpful.
I'll announce it here when it is available for purchase at DP.

What makes Banana Gloss such a special wax??
- Supreme easy on/easy off
- Can be applied in the direct sun (yes, really!)
- Can be applied in near freezing temps
- Will not stain trim (go ahead... get sloppy!)
- No dry time or cure time
- Helps fill minor paint imperfections, such as fine swirls
- Adds a carnauba-like richness and depth, thanks to the fact that it does contain carnauba wax (along with resins to help with durability)

I was one of the original testers and I can't wait to get my paws on this stuff. I'm sure this was covered when we sampled BG, but I forgot and don't have time to go looking: I recently Epic-ed. Can the GB be applied over the relatively new Epic without having to do anything else?
Yes, the consistency is the same as the samples. I would say slightly thicker than water but not much.
This wax is nearly identical to the test wax in every way except that we managed to tweak it just a wee tad to squeeze out a little more durability... not much, but a little. Otherwise, you won't find any differences between the text wax and the real deal.

It isn't a spray like Hydro though. It is applied using any kind of wax applicator (microfiber covered sponge, foam, etc) and then buffed off with a plush microfiber buffing cloth or similar.

Great news
I have been waiting to get my hands on more since testing it last year.
Nice to hear durability is better, but this is no big deal really, as it is so easy to apply. By hand on a MINI, may take a 1/2 hour tops.
Yes it goes over Epic, Zaino, bare paint. Yes Hydro can go over it.

Well... you notice there are three bottles of Epic and Swirl. Long story short. I ordered because I was getting low. Then forget I ordered them a couple months later and ordered again.
I think I'm good for a little while now. Exception of Banana Gloss, of course. BTW, did you try it out ? Exceed the reflective abilities of Epic on a dark color like yours ? Nice, deep shine ?
I'm thinking to apply Epic every six months like I'm doing now and then putting the BG over top of it. With the little bit of Carnuba, it should make for a good combo. Of course, Speed Shine has some Carnuba in it, too, so maybe that would be duplication of effort, since I'm using Speed Shine at least twice a week.

I found on my BRG that the colour was deeper, even my white roof looked better.
My plan is to use it to as a booster to Epic, or when we have an event to go to, to give some extra bedazzle
.
One of the best things is you can use it in the sun. This will be very nice when temps are close to freezing, which I did with the sample, and it was as easy to work as when temps were much warmer.
I also deliberately put it on some black trim, and there was no effect to the plastic. There was some 2-3 month old Black Wow on at the time.

time... well, atleast not for a few years, i think, and you're all set.
i think banana gas/gloss would be a great product to use over the
artificial looking sealants like the one im using on my dd's and zaino.

and similar to you, i use Hydro over my sealant so it looks pretty deep and
warm... perhaps it's something to consider if you want to blot dry your
daily drivers instead of Hydro-ing and dragging the waffleweave?
Yeah, I'm going to give it a try, ken. I'm always up for trying something new to make the paint look even better. One thing I love about the dark colors is the deepness of the paint. Looking forward to trying out the Banana Gloss.
I wanted to get a 3 1/2' backing plate and 4 inch LC pads from DP anyway. This gives me the excuse to go ahead and get them. You know... combined shipping cost, and all.

well, we all know you lick the pads clean after detailing instead of
using soap and washing it down the drain.
that's why it's called banana.

Finish doesn't taste so great. Amigo... now THAT is something you could use as a fondue !
