Koni sport rears, new or rebuild?

I bought these off ebay. I asked if they are new and not rebuild and i was told they are totally new by the seller. But sth just doesn't seem right to me.
Look at the pics, those of you that have seen new Konis, what do you think? I can't beleive that Koni also paints the rubber part, the silent block of the shock... Also the vendors could help maybe from their experience with Konis... Waiting for your opinion before acting in any way. Thanks

What are you referring to Ken?

I've seen a lot of shocks in my day & those look about the same as any that I've seen.

I don't understand what the problem is with those shocks? What are you seeing that I don't? Enlighten me.

craftsmanship crashton. sloppy paint job, cracking paint, ugly welds,
so on. not in par with other aftermarket shocks that im accustomed to.

but hey, if they work they work. it's not suppose to be a decorative
piece anyway, right? not sure why they paint them semi-gloss yellow.
matte black hides more imperfections.

Yes I'll agree they ain't pretty, but I think they'd work ok. I was wondering if you'd seen something that I missed. I've always wondered why some shock mfr's paint their shocks garish colors.

I was just surprised that the bushing of the shock was painted yellow!! I would expect some better craftmanship, but at least i know Konis perform very well, and based on my previous experience with Bilstein Sports, i wanted to try the Koni Sport.

Can i use them with lowering springs?

Koni is a pretty legendary brand, has been around for quite some time, and known to make quality products (even if the paint finish may not be to the highest of standards). Those look about like the ones I opened and installed as part of the Dinan suspension package (although looks like the older version of the Koni logo). To answer another question, the Yellows do play well with lowering springs and I believe they carry a lifetime warranty for the original purchaser. I'm running these as part of the Dinan S3 package (rear bar, camber plates, springs, dampers) and the car is remarkably transformed.

After testing the shocks, i fount out this: on the softest setting, when i fully compress both shocks and let them expand, the one is decompressing faster than the other, but not big difference. When i set both at the stiffest setting, and do the same test, there is a very big difference in the times each shock "decompresses". Does this mean one of the 2 is defective?
