got an offer for my 17" sidewalk night spokes

Hey,

I was at a tire store pricing new rims and tires when the store manager said that someone was looking for rims that came with the sidewalk package( night spokes) he told him that The guy was willing to pay $ 3,000 for rims and tires are these in such high demand?

I only have 400 miles on the tires (run flats)

Curious should i sell these or keep them just in case i need them for the future for resale value to the car?

In my experience the dealer would offer you 1/2 to 1/3 what the other guy offered to make some coin himself. I hope the deal is real but sounds a bit high to me. Peter

I'm a big fan of the Sidewalk wheels, but I wouldn't pay that much for them

I agree with you guys i would not pay that price for stock rims, I will let you know what the outcome is. Just at of curiosity i will call the dealership to see what they are selling for.

It might be the that the store manger was just pulling my chain, so i can buy wheels and tires from him.

if you can get $3k, in a heartbeat. I'm 99% sure that's more than you can get them new from the dealer for.

you mean i can sell them for 3k and buy them back for $1800.00? i'm in!

seriously though, it would take a strong offer for me to part with them. i'm getting track wheels, but i feel the oem wheels are a nice touch with the malt brown leather...and are obvously limited production. i was just saying 3-4k would certainly get me thinking! if pigs could fly.......plus, i'd have to redo my sig!

if it sounds too good to be true.... just be sure the check clears before you let go of them and/or buy another set for yourself.

I don't think my wheels will ever be stolen. No one would even take them if they were off the car and sitting outside with a "free" sign on them.

Don't get me wrong, I love my rims.

That's too bad that store has to resort to such tactics to sell something.
