Has anyone had a dealer perform a rear fog lamp retrofit on a clubman. Dealers in Texas say it cannot be performed even though rear fog lamp preparation is listed as a standard feature. Please let me know; may plan a trip around the install.

 

I would call MINI USA and see what they say. We ordered ours with the Fog Light so I can't help answer your specific question.

I have no experience in this, but from what i've seen other people say a lot of the 'option' wiring is already inside the car but just not hooked up. You may very well have everything you need for the fog light except for hte right connection or socket or something.

I don't want to be wrong and get your hopes up, but hopefully someone knows something about this. It would be nice if all the necessary wiring was already in place and all you were missing were a few odds and ends.

 

Those rear fogs came in handy at MINIs On Top this weekend. We drove down the mountain in the densest fog ever, and it was great to follow cars with their rear fogs on.

 

Great Shot; I am assuming that you had the rear fog installed. I actually requested them on mine after ordering, but it did not make it onto the final spec sheet that went to production.

I am hopeful that I can make the mod as I will likely be taking the vehicle overseas. Nonetheless, I am looking to taking delivery on the vehicle.

Although it is not specific to the Clubman. It is for 2nd generation Mini's and as the parts for the Dash are the same and i have found that the wirirng and the BULB were all ready in place in my Clubbie. All i need is the switch part on the dash and a little time.

 

Yup...didn't get a shot of it though.
