R56 Front Brake Pad Wear Sensor Broken

Changed the front brake pads on my 07 MCS today. The sensor cracked when pulling it out. Went ahead and replaced the pads and zip tied the sensor up and out of the way.

When I start the car I get the warning. Any way to disable this warning or do I need to replace the sensor? Can I just take the thing out?

If I need to replace the sensor, will still be able to zip tie it out of the way and not use it? I check my brakes very regularly so it's really not necessary for me.

Thanks for any input you can give!

You'll need to replace the sensor, but you can still zip tie it out of the way. Not possible to disable it, though.
