Any of the Carolina crew coming to Roebling in Aug?

I was wondering if any of the gang I met in Helen or at the Dragon were planning on doing the HPDE at Roebling in Sav on the 9th & 10th of Aug? I know that it is not too bad a drive for some folks. About 5hrs for for me pulling the trailer from Atl.

Hope to see some of you there!

Tim

While I wasn't at Helen or the Dragon Ann and I will be there on the 9th. I'm trying to persuade some others to go as well. We'll see.

I hope to be in Copper Mountain, Colorado for MITM3. Nothing like see 300 Mini's going up the highest paved road in NorthAmerica 14,264 foot Mt. Evans. Of course after the event have to swing down and do Pikes Peak only 14,110 feet. Where is this track located by the way? I assume its in Georgia but not sure.

I've got to look at timing and money but I'm hoping to go. Maybe I can kill my runflats so I can buy some proper rubber.

Geek,
Since I know you're awash in money, just get a 2nd set of wheels and tires. Some lightweight Konigs and a set of Falken RT-615's would run right at $1K at Discount Tire. You could run w/out the TPMS on the track if you don't want the expense of a 2nd set of sensors (~$300).

As someone with over 100 hours on Roebling. HP is cool, but it aint everything! I love the look on peoples faces as they get passed in the corners by a 153 crank hp 944 na. then never see me again, till I'm in their rear view lookin to pass for a second time..........

yes this coming from a hp *****.......For once Chad, I gotz your back!

btw I was planning on going, but my landload says otherwise. Looks like this month is my last on the east coast.

LOL Not there to race Luke! That is for the serious boys, rest of us there to learn and have fun. Meanest thing I run against is an occasional stopwatch!

El, wish you could make it. I got to run with some mega hp cars at CMP last year and they could not believe that they could only lose me on the straights. I like to follow them for the "music"

Well, I'm all signed up. I think I actually talked to Phil too. Very nice guy, informative, knows his stuff.

This will be my first event like this, I'm sooo looking forward to it.

It slapped a grin on several faces. Congrats to Bruce and Rob for placing in the top 8 fastest. Bruce got a medal and everything. Go speed racer!

I for sure had a grin....not so much so after spinning out 2 times on day 1. Got better(hard not to do after the start I had) as the day progressed and into the next day. Learned alot from Marcus, Jim and Brad as well as others. Had a great time at the track, on the track, restaraunt and in general. As usual, what a great group of people to hang out with.

So anybody gonna post any pictures? I didn't take the camera, wouldn't have done any good anyway as I was in the car most of the time. Actully I think a tape recorder would have been the better option, there was a lot of howling out there.
