Electrical What are these Fuses for?
What are these Fuses for?
I've got a 2008 and am looking at the fuse panel cover as well as the 'hot or not' sticky in this forum. I'm seeing some things I don't understand. The big one is the 'Trailer' fuses. Only after seeing the sticky did I figure out that the graphic is supposed to be a trailer hitch ball (or at least that's what I'm guessing).
The question is - Why three? Fuses F2, F4, and F41 all show the same graphic. They are listed in the hot or not sticky as:
F2 - Trailer Socket
F4 - Trailer Module
F41 - Trailer Module
There are two Telephone ones F10 and F29. They have different icons on them. One (F10) matches the MFSW button, so I suspect it's the bluetooth, but what is a coiled line with DDE (F29) supposed to be?
Next one - Footwell Modules. There are at least 4 (F5, F8, F47 & F48). The F5 & F8 icons show windows, but which is right & left? The F47 & F48 icons shows lights, but why 2? And what lights?
Next one - the Lock icons - three of them. Figured out that F19 is the comfort access system. F9 is described as Central locking - Does that mean the door locks? and F25 is Electrochromatic interior rear view mirror which I take to mean the Garage door access and automatic rear view mirror dimming. To help clarify things, I'm making labels for the icons so I can read instead of try to interpret the 'universal' icons.
Next one - F32 - The icons show the external rear view mirror (which makes sense), but why does it also show a seat heater? There are separate fuses for those two (F39 and F40).
Next ones - F11 and F45 have the same icons. F11 is the HD radio and Satellite Radio, but what is the 'CCC/M-ASK' that F45 lists.
Next ones - F34 and F49 both say 'START STOP' and are described as 'Car Access System' which I think is probably the comfort access. But why 2?
