car not starting after big storm

got caught in a storm, had no choice but to go through a flooded street, not once, but a few times..

car started when leaving the place i was at AFTEr going thru the puddles (about 2 hours later)

got home fine (stopped raining so no puddles on the way back)

and now it doesnt start. sounds like its trying, but its not. battery is sitting at 12.8V...

ideas?

mines got to be electrical then. it sounds like it wants to crank, but it doesnt. doubt its the "hydrolock" thing, becuase theres no out-of-the-ordinary noises when trying to crank. it didnt stall WHILE driving either, nor did it after i got to my destination.

i stayed there for about 1.5-2 hours too.

went to my car, got in, drove home (storm was already over by this time) drove home fine.

it was when i got home, went inside, showered, etc, came back outside, and it doesnt start.

I'd break out my leaf blower, pop the bonnet, and blow everything dry.

it looks as if everything is dry. i checked each spark plug, and the air filter. all dry.

Battery still at 12.8v? I wonder if the alternator is soaked?
