Damn, I really hate waiting for my Mini.

I'm about to loose my bloody mind.

Well I know just how you feel. I was going to wait for a 04 MCS, but instead I called Mini of Hawaii and they had a 03 Chili Red/White with the options that I wanted.

Here in Ca, the wait list for the MCS was anywhere from 6 to 8 months out, so I thought this is NUTS. I'm going for it.

That little Red Rocket is in my garage right now. The only thing I'm waiting on is this weekend to take the MCS on some nice curvey roads.

i kinda know how you're feeling. i got a brg/w mcs that's being made in the factory as we speak. supposedly , the estimated arrival to hawaii is early oct.

now the difference is i've already got a sg/b mc cvt in my driveway. but, i'm planning on selling her.

my question is...should i keep her at home to keep the mileage low and hopefully value high, or should i continue to drive her and enjoy my daily drive.

miles is at about 6000 and my daily drive 5x/week is about 50 miles roundtrip, which can rack up the miles rather quickly.

kbseto,
If you're not going to drive your MC to keep the miles down, then why not sell it NOW to get the best prices before the 2004 models arrive shortly. If you want to keep driving your MC until your MCS arrives then DRIVE IT.
Who cares about a few more 1000 miles.

Xanthus-
People hang out on MCO and read, read, read. They buy all sorts of stuff for their MINI before it even arrives.
Takes time to plan and decide then order mods and get them delivered so you have time to spare.
This is a good time to do some early question and answer too. Hang in there. Most say it all goes by pretty quick.

Waiting.... Waiting.... Waiting.....

If it weren't for the fact that I'm stuck half way around the world from home, I'd be flipping my ever-loving lid....

The worst part of waiting is that the day I got an email from the dealer asking me to confirm my options and such, was the same day I found out that I was going to be stuck in Bahrain (for good old Uncle Sam) for another 6 months. Argghhh !!!

Spike

PS: By the way ticketgtr, your posts are a SCREAM !! A real hoot. Thanks for injecting your bizarre sense of humor into our little group !!

Xanthus & Ticketgtr- as minihune mentioned, while waiting you can order a few small gifts for the new arrival to help ease the anxiety, outfits for the new baby. Glovebox organizer, console organizer or Hot Pocket, MINIfini cup holder, map light, stubby radio antenna, boot mat- these are just a few relatively inexpensive things you can get and have ready for MINI. Believe me, it increases the fun factor until your little tyke arrives.
