Hi Everyone,

After doing much research the last month or so I decided that getting a new MINI would actually save me money every month since I drive over 100 miles a day and my Sport Trac only gets 19 MPG on the hwy at best. So even though the truck is paid off, Im saving about $125 a month buying a MINI and buying the gas. Excellent!!!

I hope to get the 37 MPG as stated...I drive all hwy..50 miles each way...so we'll see!!!

 

Consumer reports just released thier road test with an 08 manual S and got 38mpg.

38 for an S, thats great!!! I would have loved to have ordered a MCS but it just wasn't in the budget with all the extras I got. Maybe next time. I leased this one for 30 months.

I did a three-year lease for mine. Into my second year. I love the free service part. The only thing I'm responsible for would be the wheels, if one of them has to be replaced for instance; even the windshield wipers were replaced for free.

You'll get great mileage per gallon on the highways, provided there's no congestion or heavy stop-and-go traffic of course.

to you. I can't conceive of that long a car commute for me. I drive 10 minutes to a Park N Ride and then take a 20-minute bus ride into Manhattan. I miss rush hour going in and coming home since my shift is 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
And I love the commute because I can read, mostly historical novels. Traffic? No problem, I'll just knock off another chapter.

I wish I were so lucky...Im in PSL, FL and drive to West Palm everyday so there is no traffic at all during the times I drive, I can let her loose all the way to work and back!!! It is a long haul but gotta do it for now...but hey I get to buy a mini because of it!!!

Never heard of Ferman Mini...Mine is coming from Braman Mini of Palm Beach...the next closest to me is in Cypress Creek...I think Vista Mini...3 More Days!!!

 

Savor every moment...fun like this doesn't come around all the time. Unless you're my friend who has had six MINIs.

My 07 MCSm got just .1 shy of 36 mpg on a road trip of about 300 miles last October but I certainly don't drive conservatively. On the MotD trip at the end of April/first of May with primarily interstate highway driving but lots of back country road driving it averaged (according to the onboard computer) 34.8mpg over the duration of 1600+ miles. Again, only Mario Andretti or an F/A-18 pilot would consider my driving style conservative.

 

You will feel better all day after a morning commute in your new Cooper, just looking forward to your ride back home.

Ferman MINI of Tampa Bay (located in Palm Harbor) was equally distant with the four MINI Dealers of West Palm - Miami; from my location.

I was very fortunate to find a very large stock of New MINI's on the day I visited and met an excellent Mini Advisor;
Oliver Morris who made it the most pleasant Auto Buying experience I have ever enjoyed.

Hey are you going to Mickey and Mini 4 in September? Me and my wife just saw the post for it and we are really considering it...it looks fun!!!

 

Not sure about that, but doubt it; last year, we enjoyed a Disney 3 day / 4 Park and if you get to Epcot,
be sure to do the "Mission to MARS" it was fantastic.

Costco just sent us a 1 Day / 2 Park for Universal that is only good until July 31. Problem for me,
is that I am busiest in Summer and freeiest in Winter in my 'work' as a Corporate Flight Department/Pilot, on call.

I am thinking about.. ..going to see what is in Miami and Homestead Speedway this Saturday.

So June 10th came and went and no MINI...my MA said it would come today...so made the trip to WPB to wait and wait and finally he called...my MINI is still in GA and won't arrive until the 17th. UGH!!! Not a big deal, but now i'm stuck @ the in-laws house until it stops raining...plus no MINI! What a day

 

If it's any consolation, I've been yearning for a MCS for 2 months now. And I'm waiting until Feb 09 to place my order. Should allow time for me to get my bonus and tax return. I've been doing a lot of research and I'm really looking forward to owning my own. I even got a MINI credit card to start earning cash towards my purchase.
