Any ideas when we can start ordering a 2009 MCS? My current MY08 order that went in a couple weeks ago has been delayed to a build week of June 29th, I'm tempted to wait a bit longer for the 09's. I had read that MY09's start being build oat the beginning of September.

Any more info? Thanks. And no, I can't convince myself to do a JCW.

 

My MA also said 2009 orders will begin in early September.

 

I just ask my Dealer today and he told me they will not be available before Jan 09

Just two days ago my dealer rep also said that 09s will not be available until January. I'd have to join the folks who are suggesting that that's a long time to wait for what will probably not be much positive change, if any.

 

Probably a cost increase in 09 with the sinking dollar. I'd keep your order.

That's a good question, seems the dealership implied one thing and is delivering another. I was told mid July delivery, obviously I can't get that if they don't start building until June 30th. Not much I can do about it I suppose.

As to why I would consider waiting for a MY09, I guess why not? Newer car, better resale, additional fixes and possibly features. At this rate I'm going to hold onto my order and see how it progresses.

Yeah, add my list to the "my MA said after Jan '09" camp. I was actually told "sometime around Feb '09".

There may be some color changes. A black metallic (darker than Astro Black) has been mentioned.

I wanted to order an '08, but when I went to the Dealer back in September 2007 to order, it was for an '07. they told me to order an '08 I had to wait until December 2007.

 

I think that they will be adding an option to make the bluetooth ready for smartphones too.
