Im sad....NO wait Im happy!!!

I have been pondering the new 135i and 335i for awhile now. Sure the BMW is a sexy car, fast as hell and a good performer all around, but its missing one thing. Everytime I get into my MINI S and push the start a huge grin appears on my face ear to ear and its called ENJOYMENT. After weighing the pros and cons of both cars it became rather clear the way this car makes me feel (R56 S), in its most basic form it is pure satisfaction. Having owned 30 different cars and only being 29yrs of age, I can really say that this is the Best car I have ever had the pleasure of piloting.
The sad thing is I have decided to sell my Astro Black after all. Today I began detailing her, photo shoots, and sigh.....returning her to stock form. Good bye Alta Turbo back, Good Bye CAI,to the closet you go.
I will be replacing her with A 2008 MINI COOP S Why would I do such a thing you ask? Long story really....I just cant get enough!!! There I said it, well that and this one will have some JCW parts (cosmetics) different interior, a locked up front, carbon fiber, and all sorts of other cool stuff.
My wife certainly dont understand this concept, But come on guys you understand how nice BRAND new is dont YA?

WOW!

you've owned 30 cars, and you're only 29 years old???
I am blown away by this.

I've owned 3 cars in my life, (driven many, many others, owned by friends, parents, and other family members). That is crazy!

Let's say you began driving right at the legal driving age of 16. That means you have gone through an average of 2 cars a year!

Are you afraid of commitment, or what?

Wow, with that many cars... have you ever tallied up how much you've spent on vehicles?

Wow, assuming you got your first car at age 17:

You owned 30 cars / 12 years = 2.5 cars per year on average..

EDIT: Sorry, I did not notice jonnieoh already did the math before me..

Awww, cut the guy some slack here! He's got a wife, and he loves MINIs! Commitment and good taste!
(from a woman who's on hubby #1 and the 5th car in almost 46 years of life!)

I understand sales tax, property tax and depreciation, all things that screw you over everytime you buy a new car.

I'm afraid I don't understand brand new... as I can't afford a nice car new. Instead I'm stuck with used cars and fixer upper houses; I like to think of it as recycling.

I have a brother who is 62. He has had 3 cars his entire life, all BMWs. He is currently driving a 1989 325 that he has had for 18 years.

Yes this is true, however MINI has the highest resale rate so any loss will be minimal. I was able to purchase my car well below MSRP so it is very possible to actually recover all money and make a profit.
