I am a newcomer to this site - since hubby just ordered our baby a couple weeks ago. Didn't know there were rules for where to put postings. Guess I was just having a good time. You seemed to be a nice bunch of mini-nuts. If my comments offended, I apologize. Was just yakking and rambling. I'll be nice and bow out gracefully (which for me means not falling over the furniture.) Again, sorry if I screwed up. I'll just keep big yap shut. Drive safe.

Huh what? Where did this come from? We've been loving your posts! And threads can easily be moved - at least, I know they can on other forums. It's a common mistake, posting to the wrong folder, and certainly not a big deal, if that's what you're alluding to.

I enjoyed hearing the other side ... the wife's view. I know I am driving my family, friends, co-workers totally nuts over my ordered MCS.

I can't wait for your husband to join MCO! To hear both sides would be great!

As far as I know about rules on the MCO, if your post is something in general about the car you post in MINI Talk, if it is about something specific, like you are wanting to learn about wheels, you post in the wheels forum, etc...

For fun goofy things, not related to the car, post in Off Topic!

And never be embarrassed when they move your questions. I am forever posting to MINI Talk something about the interior, the exterior, the wheels, and later I can't find my own question because some kind person has moved me to where I belong.

and don't worry about keeping your Yap shut.
You've only posted 7 times.

I agree. The only thing I can figure this that some one-legged, marbled-eyed person took your other post seriously and PM'd you.

Look lady, I *love* your sense of humor. No need to duck and cover! Keep posting your notes. If anyone says anything to you, tell 'im to **** off...even if that means removing a catheter.

Wow, I may be the one who offended someone by the remark about a one-legged person with a marble for an eye.
If I offended anyone or made anybody feel uncomfortable I do apologize. But a good friend of mine has an artificial leg from the knee down. We do joke at, and with him, about this so I don't consider it a big deal. Again I apologize.

If my posts had anything to do with this please let me state in COMPLETE CLARITY.

I loved your posts, they had me crying laughing so hard. I really think you have a great deal of spunk that will be a great asset to our little community here.

Keep it up, my comments were mt coarse form of flattery.

I think your comments rocked, though I do fear for your husband's head if you get ahold of a rolling pin!

Keep on making me cry laughing and you will have an online friend for life.

Sorry if I seemed a bit rough.

ticketgtr, you have quite the way with words and a wonderful sense of humor! Please stick around and don't let the turkeys get you down! As you can see, there are many more people who want you to stay than there are those who like to lash out or flame you (or anyone for that matter).

Yes we can! and Newkevin, you can even edit your posts once you've made them! Just click on the paper & pencil icon at the bottom left of your post... (It only works on your OWN posts) Now you don't have to double-post just to fix a typo!

That's OK ticketgtr,

And you can remove double posts buy hitting the edit button on your own posts and then press delete.
You can change the subject headline if you created the post.

I'm offended.

I have 2 marbles for eyes and a wooden leg AND a wooden arm. And 6' of my large intestines are really Dayco rubber hose.

And, I have no sense of humor when it comes to these matters, mostly because my double glass eyes prevent me from seeing the body language with which it was offered.

That said, I have NO idea what you may have said to offend anyone, as I missed the post. If you did, k', mistakes happen and this is the internet and the English language does not always translate well in writing on the web. (Ever write something you thought has the funniest thing since Zero Mostel and, well, your boss replies that the company keeps empty cardboard boxes in the storage cabinet... be out by 5?)

Glad to have you aboard. I would recommend a hearty dose of offence at least once a month

David

>>F'em if they can't take a joke.

I've always wanted to get this put on a t-shirt.

ticketgtr,

I have no idea what you think you said, but most people that post offend somebody at one time or another. Most of the time unintentionally. If it were that big of a deal, I surely wouldn't be allowed to post here anymore. I've become offensive to myself and others that I've told the moderators that they should kick me off to do me and everybody else a favor.

Well, I'm still here and occassionally still razzing people, but always having a good time as should you. People can be offended by ANYTHING. I'm sure that by using upper case I've just offended somebody, in which they should see the quoted section above

Anyway, welcome and enjoy.

Jason

I think you got the idea now. Most of us are not easily offended. Those that are need a dose of "Shut the (HECK?) up."

Most users will give the benefit of the doubt that you did not intend to deliver an offense, thus they will just shrug and perhapse ask for an explanation. Outside of that those that rail on you for nothing will feel the comments of others gently guiding them to a better course of action, like an appology or at least an admittance of an over-reaction.
