When I manage to find my car from where I parked it the other night downtown I intend to solve a problem that has been bugging the crap out of me. My dealer is a total ****ing **** so I wouldn't dare ask them to do this job. Which brings me to this community because I know you all have this problem, and no doubt you've already over engineered and custom fabricated solutions from billet aluminum on the CNC Milling machines you keep in your garages.

Before you start in on me I tried to search the threads, so don't ****ing flame me if this topic exists already. Everybody is so ****ing quick to flame. So before you hit send, just take a deep breath and a sip of Makers and relax. Regardless, I am too drunk to really use the internets correctly so I'm usually predisposed to just start a thread. Lazy bastard.

I have an 08 MCS with the ipod/bleucheese option (not the ****ing ridiculous overly priced comfort hidden b*****t option which costs eleven hundred more canadian dollars). If you have this option, you'll notice that when you're sober enough to use the vehicle its fairly handy for calls to the wife and the occasional inbound 9-1-1 thing.

And that is that the cable and adapter for the ipod connection is so big and wonky, that if you have an iphone the whole thing is a mess that dangles out into the center console and fouling the cocktail holder and sometimes the shifter.

I'm no ****ing engineer, but one thing I did notice is that this ipod connector is USB on one end. Would it be feasible to connect a long male USB cable to the female receptacle there, run that cable up under the console and dash drilling holes ***** nilly along the way and terminate the whole mess inside the secret compartment and thus store my ipod, flask, parking change and pack of Skoal Bandits together?

Yes it possible and has been discussed over in the Nav/Audio section before. In addition to the USB extension you would need an extension cable for the audio jack as well.

Not sure if you were trying to be funny or were genuinely angry, but I didn't laugh. Get a grip man and save the whining for your mama.
