Colorado Renaissance Festival - Jun 28th Celtic Fling

Greetings all,

Well, since SPOON will be in the shop on June 14th, I thought I'd suggest another weekend for the Renaissance Festival if anyone is interested in meeting there or riding up there together.

I'm suggesting June 28th. It's Celtic Fling weekend and I'm a sucker for good bagpipe music.

If there is interest we can set up a time to meet. Just let me know.

Like before we'll be bringing our cameras so if anyone wants pics of themselves taken let us know. We'll just need model releases signed and we'll let you do what you want with the pics.

Now you're talking! We're in.

Let us know about possible meetup points. We'd obviously be coming from denver, and I believe that you're in the springs. Give it some thought and let us know.

I've never been but I bet it could be fun. Please let me know the particulars and I will post on the calendar. I'll also mention this at the June 10 meeting.
As for model release, my agent handles all such matters.

Well, I'm still game for the Renaissance Festival run if anyone else wants to go. Not sure where the Denver contingent will meet up. I'd like to ask Japic to pick a location if any other Denver folks are heading down.

For the folks meeting in Colorado Springs lets meet around 8:45AM at

Starbucks, 4465 Centennial Blvd (I-25 & Garden of the Gods Rd, West to Centennial Blvd with Star Bucks on the SE corner)

We'll take I25 north to 105 then follow 105 all the way to the festival. Hopefully we'll meet the Denver group right before we turn right off of 105 to get to the festival. Not sure how long this will take for us to get to this location so I'm guessing we'll meet up with the Denver group by 9:30AM at this intersection so we can all head in together.

Let me know if you're going so I know to wait up for you on Saturday. Just reply here or send a PM and I'll give you my cell phone number.

oops, we have the Summer Solstice Ride this weekend. A two-parter with Jacob leading the morning charge through the mountains and Jonathan guiding our Solstice-ending sunset viewing that evening.
It should be a great day of motoring!
I don't know how many you have going to the festival, but if it is something that could be postponed, we would love to have you on our ride.

The festival was planned for two weekends away on June 28th. Not sure if I can get out of prior commitments for this Saturday but I will try. I need to give you guys a couple things we picked up in Thailand anyway for the MITM 3 giveaway during the dinners.

For clarification the Solstace Ride is the 21st, not the 28th. I'm not sure if that changes anyone's plans or not. I'll talk to Christine about the 28th again. Now that summer's here things are getting hectic with our schedules.

As to the route nthwolf we usually take the back way to the Faire, not the I-25 route. That's Santa Fe to Sedalia (hwy 67), to highway 105 then south through the rolling hills to highway 60 and Larskpur.

Folks from the south could also grab 105 in Monument and roll north to 60 for a more scenic route.

Doesn't look like there will be anyone from the Springs going on this ride hehe.

No worries.

Japic, you still going?

Ugh.... that's tomorrow already!? Sorry but I think not on tomorrow. We've got some things happening here in town that we need to be around for. It sounds like we might be going Sunday though, so I guess we'll be missing eachother.

Maybe it'll work out another day. There are five more weekends after this one, so many more opportunities for getting together.

Paul:

We (C/S people) have never been & would love to go sometime. Sunday, 6-29, is our 30th wedding anniversary. I mentioned it to the Mrs. as an option & she seemed interested.

For me, I love new experiences & prefer the 1st time be w/ someone in the know to minimize the learning curve & maximize the enjoyment. Jacob & Christine are experts & great fun to be with. You & Amy should definately consider timing to be there w/ them.

If anyone is going Sunday, we might--- just join them. I know we have other plans that evening.

Mike

Sounds like you two should have fun on Sunday. Unfortunately we already had stuff planned on Sunday that we can't get out of.

No worries. There are other weekends and we're going to try and hit the Castle run on the 12th too.

We'll still head to the Starbucks just in case someone doesn't troll the boards less often than I do hehe.
