Rear Fog, Hole or No Hole on Exterior?

There was some recent threads that discussed the blank instead of the toggle if not ordering the rear fog.

Someone said something about a hole in the rear if no rear fog ordered, and the dead switch in the cabin.

Can someone show me the 'hole' on the exterior, if so?

I suspect this is not true, and that rear fog is simply activating the driver's side rear light. But would like to see a shot of fog and no fog options on rear and in cabin toggle area.

Thanks!

I don't have a photo, but the rear fog lights are separate lights that are added to the rear bumper. They are not already built into the tail lights. When you don't order them you get some plugs where the fogs should go.

There is a 'blank' bank in the Toggles, but there is no 'hole'. It is filled in with a cap (no decal either). The Rear Fog Light, if missing, is a Black Plastic Mesh Screen. One of my pics. in my Gallery may give you an idea. The Configurator will also give you a good pic. of what the rear end looks like...both w/and w/o the Rear Fog Light.

You have to be specific here - Cooper, Cooper S or Clubman? They each have different rear fog setups.

I have no pics but I've seen what he's referring to with the holes. Usually with no fogs there are filler pieces that have the same pattern as the area around it, but I've seen a few that don't have the piece and it's just a hole. I don't know if those people took out the pieces themselves or if they were just different from the factory to begin with.

They don't seem to snap in very tightly on either the standard or JCW bumpers (I've pushed several back in place that were not fully snapped in while wandering the dealer lot), so they may have just fallen out. The mesh pattern on the MCS matches, but there is an outer edge on the insert that makes the plug pretty obvious. On the JCW bumper, it's a different pattern, but still looks kind of cheap IMO. The fogs look much cleaner. If you don't want red in the bumper, I'd suggest getting them anyway and painting them with a product like NightShades to darken them somewhat.
