Time to dealer from "At Distribution Center"?

Anyone have time frames for how long it might take the car to get from the "At distribution Center" stage (just got that message last night) to my dealer in Chicago?

Varies, but 2-5 days at the DC is normal, then however long it takes a truck from there (2 days maybe). Then the dealer will want it for at least one day before you pick it up.

Mine showed "at the distribution center" the day my car hit the dealer. Knowing when it was off the boat, and when my MA said it was put on a truck, my car was at the VDC for less than 12 hours. BUT... as the pp said, it depends on the truck, travel time, how long at the VDC (having anything installed there? where is it in line off the boat? etc.) My car was off the ship and at the dealer in 3 days.

Call your MA and see if they have any info. They'll also have to schedule any dealer-installed items and another inspection before you come in to take your new baby home.

Yea... definitely in regards to where you are at in relation to the VDC.
I'm in Hawaii... so it's another 1-2 weeks to get here by boat after the inspection.

-2 days (yes that's a minus 2 days). The car was on the truck when it went from En Route to At VDC. The Owner's Lounge is worthless for getting times. The car was loaded onto a truck on Monday, arrived at the dealer in Dallas Wed morning. It was unloaded from the boat on Saturday. This was only 10-12 days ago, so those times are pretty current.

Which dealer. Mine should be in port in Charleston on June 7th. From there my MA at B Jacobs said it would take less than a week. Hope to be driving it by the 14th.

Mine came ashore in S.C. on 5/1 and was at the Dallas dealer on 5/9.

Wow, well you guys were right. Just got a call from my dealer and he is expecting to have it in in a few days.

All praise the lateness of the owners lounge updates. What I thought would take another two weeks may only be a few days.

I tracked a 4 day delay on the MiniUSA.com updates.
Looks like that's fairly accurate.
Mine was at the dealer before it showed AT Dealer.

I'm in the Chicago area and mine was listed "At VDC" for about 4 days when I got the call that the car was at the dealer. Funny thing is that the OL still shows the car at the VDC and I've had it for about 1 month.

Are you sure you picked up a Mini at the dealer? Could it be a Yugo?

As others have noted, the Owner's Lounge is worthless as far as ACCURATE times are concerned. One day the Owner's Lounge reported my Mini was "At the Distribution Center" -- the next day it reported that it was "At the port awaiting a shipping vessel." And, later, Owner's Lounge reported my car at the Distribution Center, AFTER my dealer called to say they had it. So -- take the information from "Track my MIMI" with a grain of salt (or whatever that expression is.)

I was told the Owners Lounge report only updates maybe twice a week so that is why it is not always accurate.
