After a whole year and 17k miles the MCS made it´s first visit back to the service area of Mini. Seems one of the fans stopped working and the car overheated, they told me it was prob the little fan under the motor. Has anyone else had this problem with the 02 MCS. I thought maybe it was because i never had the overflow tank fixed and it was low on antifreeze. The weird thing is i feel like im missing something when its not here. But im sure they will fix it and make it better. The funny thing is i thought they would freak out with all the mods i have added but no phone call yet.Hopefully they put there blind eye towards the mods.

Wouldn't the skid plate "fix" keep this from happening???

If it was the powersteering fan then yea, the skid plate could have prevented this. They also make a cover just for the fan itself, I think MOSS sells it.

Don't worry your MCS will be back in no time. Actually of the two times I've had to go to the dealership, I anticipate my MINI like it was the first trip there to pick it up from delivery again. The waiting it hard to overcome like before delivery too. I like also b/c dealership always gives me the car back w/ that new car smell again. Like I said, it's like getting her for the first time. Ahhh...

Had it happen on my 02 Cooper...seems to be fairly common. I got it fixed recently and now keep a box of 5 AMP fuses in the glovebox...just in case. They didn't freak out over my mods either for my 25K service (although you've got me beat there with the mods)
