It's good to see so many entries!
Looks like nobody else had the guts to ask "can you all come back and park just like this?"

 

The competition is tough this month. Congrats to those who submitted pics -- lots of great entries!

Had a tough time deciding between 6 and 8.


(Question: Does anyone know the name of the light blue color on the classic in the foreground in photo 7? Is that an original color?)

 

Oh wow, I'm running a very distant 3rd! Not even a tie to break this time.

 

What? No concession speach yet? I guess it's going to have to go all the way to the convention! I thought Photo 8 was very good, but I think the Union Jack in Photo 6 just sucked me in. To be honest, we may be dealing with some subliminal stuff going on here!

 

 

I'm also struggling between Juan and Drew's photos. Juan is the master IMHO of B&W processing and he made a good composition. However Drew's photo has a lot of subtlety in it every time I look at it. The flow through the photo is nice too (although #9 has great lines). Red-blue-red-blue... sure you didn't have them park this way intentionally?

Most amazing to me is that Drew and Juan themselves didn't get captured in the reflections.

I think it was a limited edition color offered in the 80's but I'm not sure...

 

Just scanning through my Mini book it looks like it might be "Surf Blue" (?)

 

Oh darn....I took a couple of pictures and forgot to enter. For those who entered, Nice shots!

 

yeah I think that's the color. The one i was thinking about was the wrong one. They made a white mini with a roof that color in the 80's.

We haven't discussed next month's contest yet. Hopefully we can come up with something later this evening. I have some ideas but I don't want to post anything until it gets approved.

 

It probably shouldn't have anything to do with June Bugs or June Beetles.
