Thanks to Linda for providing the link for everyone. This sounds like a fun event. There is a drive on Saturday, and the Car Show on Sunday in Arvada. There is a ton of info, to answer all your questions, at the web site
http://www.coloradoconclave.com

I plan on going on Sunday, and will be there early to get my spot near all the other minis. Hope to see you all there!!!

03Indigo, thanks for the link. They didn't have a website last year.

As for parking near the other MINI's, each car/motorcycle maker has a designated area to park. So all the MINI's will be in the same area unless you are a vendor and or a member of another British car club and have another make of car there, than you are allowed to park at your site.

I’ll be parking cars that Sunday, I don’t know what I was thinking but I volunteered to assist parking cars that Sunday morning. This was after they told me that I don’t actually get to drive the cars myself.
I tried.

Heck yeah....the theory is english, and since the majority of the final assembly is in England...that works for me. They may only protest that we are there because they are jealous, they want a new mini as well

They are extremely excited about having the Mini's at the show this year. I was told we will be together at one end of the park and there are some trees for shade. David and I will be bringing a canopy with us for extra shade so we can all use it to eat, drink and be merry. The Mini's will steal the show Nancy

This has been debated before. BMW recognizes it as an English car thus the separation of the dealerships. Technically it is an English car with a parent company being German. Just like Jaguar is an English car but its parent is an American company. I won't go into this debate again there are too many examples of Parent companies owning foreign car makes.

The Conclave recognizes that this is an English car as it has with Jaguar etc and has welcomed it as such.

Yes there are trees where the MINI’s will be but our area has expanded and the shade has not. Any shade you can bring along will only help all of us who love our MINI’s.

Well, looks like with a little changing of my schedule for next weekend...I can make the drive on Saturday...and on Sunday I will only be able to be there for the morning.

I am looking forward to meeting more of you all next week, and meeting some of the folks from MOTR and other car clubs.

This sounds like a wonderful weekend.

Cheers

Another good gathering this year. I'm anxious to hear the MINI count, because it looked like a huge grouping, and that's not even counting the four or five parked nearby that weren't in the show, like mine. I was only in for about 45 minutes as I am not feeling my best today, but I was glad to see the good turnout and the nice variety of British cars and motorcycles. I'm always happy to go and see so many of the wonderful Sunbeam Tigers, been a favorite of mine for years.
