Hey All,
While at MOTD6 and having Way Motor Works install a M7 strut support bar on my 06 MCS , the tech found that my Radiator support had been brokn at the bottom drivers side and the radiator was loose wthin the support. Needless to say the 500 plus mile drive home was nerve racking !
I have since gotten a closer look and found that the top drivers side plastic retaining pin was stripped and I replaced it with a Carriage bolt with washers on both sides. What I need to know is (A) is this a safe temp fix?
(B) how big of a job is it to replace the Rad support (ie. is this a driveway DIY project or should only a trained tech do this? )
