Parking light

After a bout with a blown tire tread smacking the front and taking out the turn signal light I find that the parking light is out also. Problem is, how do you get it out? Got the turn signal out and fixed it (without removing bumper) but cannot figure out where the parking lamp is. Found a small plug in for what looks like a light and pulled the plug but there's no moving the recepticle.

Okay, no help so found out that by spraying some WD40 to help loosen and pushing in and twisting counter clockwise it comes out. It's a 5 watt bulb.

Arrived home today with my new 2009 Base model. When I parked it in the garage I saw that the "P" for interior Park light stays on.

Now I'm not the brightest bulb in the box to start with but please tell me if this is supposed to be like this or if didn't turn something off.

thanks
