Highlands Run - Waterfall Pics

Hi all!

If you weren't on the Highlands Run, you missed out on a fun opportunity... There is a cool little waterfall just north of town with room for only 20 or so MINIs to drive and park UNDER! We got lucky and arrived when there was some room, so we packed everyone under the falls and our designated photographer jumped out of his car and snapped some pics (THANKS, MIKE!!! ).

I've resized the better ones so that they could be displayed here, and provided links to the full-sized versions of the photos (large files) for you to download. I'll try and make the photos displaying, below, a bit more web friendly when I get home and have better graphics tools.

Enjoy!

Aaron

Those are cool pics. Just as a side note, this is Bridal Veil Falls. I don't know when the road was changed, but when I lived in Highlands as a young boy, the road only went under the falls. In the winter, the overspray from the falls froze on the road, and was very treacherous. It had to be kept clear, because the town of Franklin was the main source of supplies and medical care for Highlands. At that time, there was only a small medical clinic in Highlands, and it had only four beds. It was not uncommonfor the ice build-up under the falls to be so great that it had to be removed with dynamite.
