6500 miles and still am very happy with the punch leather.

I couldn't hang with the lounge piping, and didn't want summer 'ette sweat.

What kind of regrets are you looking for?

I originally wanted cloth seats...but I bought a LOT CAR so I didn't have a choice...I like the punch leather very much. It adds a touch of class to the MINI and they are really comfortable. I plan to take care of it religously. As far as things getting hot, I just tinted 35% all around, and 20% on the sun roof. That has made the biggest difference in temp in my car...especially when I don't run the A/C. Also, I believe the tint blocks a lot of harmful sun rays from cracking the leather prematurely.

We ordered with Punch Leather also, no regrests. We were told the letherette makes you sweat. We've always purchased cars with leather & never a regret. Lasts so much longer. Mini is 5 months old.

But the punch leather is perforated for ventilation.

In my experience, leatherette retains more heat and builds heat more quickly than leather. I think it's because leather is porous, although most leather nowadays is coated.

LOVE my punch leather. I live in Houston and it doesn't get any hotter than here. The seats are great. I wondered about getting cloth, but took the leap. They are great. Tip: Pop open the sun roof when you park to vent heat.

No regrets here. I have treated them a couple times with leather moisturizer to keep them supple. Awesome. Look as good as when I bought them over a year ago. (3rd week production, 2007)

Only had my Mini for 5days, love the leather. My last car (non-Mini) had leather, too, though not Punch. I wouldn't go any other way.

agreed - love the punch leather. Lounge didnt have the cod-piece, and punch was just soft enough!

Thats the part that goes under your leg.--- I love my punch leather seats, they are cool, non slip, look good and wear great.. BTY dont put your wallet in your backpocket anymore or you will get a "wallet crunch' spot in your leather seat.

I've owned my '08 MCS for 3 weeks now and the driver's side leather seat is worn already. It is going to be replaced under warranty in a few weeks.

I liked the look and feel of the leatherette so it was a good way for me to cut cost. Saved alot of money on the price of the car since IMHO the leather seats were too expensive of an option. I ended up upgrading from a cooper to an S it was a no brainer for me. However if I had the money I would have considered it cause it deffinitely makes the interior of the car look classier but leatherette was perfect for me.
