need some exterior mod inspiration

New here. may soon be leaving my 05 legacy GT wagon for a non S Mini. I've got a bit of a commute and the gas $$ are killing me.

I'll be visiting the Mini dealership on thursday, but i'm interested in seeing some mods on non S minis. I've spent the last 10-15 min. searching and haven't been able to turn up much.

if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great!

Not an exterior mod, but... some new boots:

Door sill plates and cocomats:

Wheel center caps:

Checkered Roof:

Also note the grille badges. Here's another pic of the roof:

Window tinting, 20% all around:

Some other minor mods that are not pictured: Valve stem covers, warning label covers, interior chrome pieces, etc, etc.

thanks guys. other than the hood scoop and front bumper, any other real visual differences between the two?

I'm looking for a loaded cooper used, sunroof, etc.... I can see wanting to put the MCS front bumper on, like it much better.

Because of the scoop, the S bonnet is shaped slightly different. The Cooper bonnet is sloped and curved a bit more. I actually prefer it over the S model's bonnet (until the R56 models came out).

Wheels (although I don't have these anymore):

Interior gauges:

Stainless steel cowl vents:

Stripes (black with chrome pins):

Roof "numbers":

Whalen Shift Machine:

Also have Redline shift & e-brake boots, a Euro parcel shelf, iPod adapter, Garmin Nuvi GPS, Bluetooth from NewMiniStuff.com...new front and rear MINI badges on the way whenever Lyle gets back from MOTD...I forget what else, someone help me...

Under the hood I don't have too much going on yet...just M7 strut tower plates and a K&N drop-in filter.

Side skirts. I actually have MCS (R53) side skirts also. They have a little more definition in them than the flat MC (R50) ones. Those are the two R.. numbers that you will want to look at for 02 to 06 models. Other than the few things listed here though they are pretty much the same thing. Tey to get Xenon (02 to 04) or projector (05 to 06) headlights because the normal ones suck in my opinion. The rear bumper is different also.

Is that a real 2006 checkmate package?

xnotfunkylex: Is yours a true 2006 checkmate package or did you just add the decals?

They came out with the checkmate package the week after MIB got on board ship for its trip across the pond.

2002-2006 Just-a-Coopers are R-50
2002-2006 MCS is an R-53
2007-2008 MINIs are R-56

And then you have convertibles which are R-52. They started producing them in 2005. The 2009s will have some changes but I haven't heard what their model number will be yet.

I know you are asking about non-S cars, but, the visual exterior mods can be very similar. Check out my gallery of my S.

No, it's a 2002 with the decals put on. I don't think they ever made them in yellow.
