Here's a dumb question...

Anyone tell me what kind of tires are spec'd on a new 2008 Cooper S? 17" wheels, all season run flats. And yes, I know I could just go outside and look at them but I don't have the car yet. Cant find it anywhere online.

Standard tires on 2008 MCS are 195/55/16, Continental. If you ordered an MCS w/ 17s I'm nearly 100% that they are 205/50/17.

I'm fairly sure the 17's are 205/45/R17

OEM tires vary. They use Pirelli, Continental, really just depends.

How about this? The weight of one of the factory Crown Spoke wheels? 17" size.

The Crown Spokes are 22.5 lbs. which is rather heavy. Tires would be 205/45-17 and the make and model can vary somewhat. IIRC, there were a couple different all season tires reported coming with the 2007 cars.

www.wheelweights.net has weights for hundreds of OEM rim's and thousands more aftermarket rims. Great site.
