Looks like a deal. From the picture the Auto A/C is included which is good, you also have the multifunction steering wheel which you'll love.
Also from the looks of it, it has the sport package. It will give you a rougher ride, but much more fun to motor in.
I say go for it!

Go look at it. Drive it. If it feels right, get it. Before I sell mine and buy it underneath you. ;p

Carfax isn't the be-all, end-all everyone thinks it is. The car could've been in a major accident, and it not show up on the report.. at least for some time, if at all. Ask the dealer to use a digital paint meter and show you that the car doesn't have any paintwork. If he doesn't have a paint meter, or refuses, then walk away.
...Just be prepared to be laughed at, and waved to as you walk away. I don't know many/any car dealer that's going to tolerate that type of scrutiny from a sub $20K car. This isn't a $80,000 Porsche. The dealers going to be able to unload this particular car very easily for their asking price. The 05's and 06's are highly sought after (as you know).
im the third owner of my mini, everything is perfect on it. silver is really easy to detect touch up paint, the easiest way would be go to it at night time and take a picture with your flash on, and anything painted will show up a different color. The reason is when a car is painted at the assembly line it goes through a certain direction making all the paint flow in the same direction. when a car has been touched up they cant follow the same flow and the perl/sparkle will reflect light differently and will definatly be noticable
i know long explanation but i promise it works

Looks like a nice car. I'd go and check it out and test drive it. If it checks out good, make an offer. The price they've got it at is very competitive and I would guess it won't last long.
I doubt they sell quickly though. We mini drivers tend to be too proud of our prices on the cars these days. They have really begun to come down in price over the last 6 months or so. To me this price seems about right for this many miles on a 2005. I would not pay more if it were me really...

Why should the asking price dictate the care taken in the sale? This thought process just doesn't make sense to me. I run the dealership here at CBRD, and OFFER this kind of information to our clients.. and I would say the average price of our cars is maybe 24k, they don't even have to ask...
Again, if they're not willing to help EDUCATE you in the process, walk away.
Another thing to detect paint issues...
Like Blkkouki mentioned using a camera, the same thing shows up with a camcorder. Worth taking w/ you. I used this technique to clue me into a rear quater panel that had been replaced, not just painted.

You own a small specialty shop, Caleb. This is a Chevy dealer in Georgia with over 300 vehicles for sale. I think it's fair to say it's "a little different" when it comes to scrutinizing a used car on a lot. They'll more than likely offer you their warranty program (usually 90 days and a Carfax). I'd like to think all shops/dealers offer the buyer the protection and satisfaction you're claiming CBRD offers, but that's just not reality.
Yes, we are a small shop, and pride ourselves on our differences, but it really isn't that hard to do things better.. just nobody takes the time anymore.
Anyways, back on topic. Sorry for the hijak!
I hope you find the MINI you're looking for and enjoy it when you finally get it. If there's any advice you need when looking at your new car, feel free to drop me a pm or email and I'll be more than happy to help!
I saw this 06 MCS (blue with silver with the U shaped stripes) for $16,999 here in rockford, from the outside i can tell that it has HIDs and 17" web spokes and i thought that would be a good deal.
Oh, its possible. I purchased my 2005 MCS back in June of 07 and it had 22,000 on it. Since then I've put on another 28,000.
