No we are not going to prison in Kansas,
We are going to that fantastic Bavarian town in Washington State. We will be traversing some funtastic roads with great views and ending in Leavenworth just in time for the Leavenworth Mechanical Music Festival with Performances of band organs, street organs, calliopes, music boxes and player piano. A quirky festival is just what we need. Of course, we can not forget the shopping, Bavarian beers and just great fun with your fellow MINIacs. Make sure to bring your camera to capture all the fun.
Leavenworth’s history does not begin with the alpine tradition it knows today, but with the proud heritage of the Yakima, Chinook and Wenatchi tribes & then into a timber and railroad town. The story of Leavenworth is a testament to the determination of the human spirit. From a dying timber and rail town it converted itself into an alpine Bavarian village.

Meet-Up: Friday 15th Aug at 8:00am. Driver’s meeting at 8:30.
The McDonald’s parking lot in Hood River.
Directions: From I-84 east, take Exit 64 (White Salmon) and turn left at the SS under the Interstate. Right at the SS onto Marina Drive and proceed straight to the east side of the McDonald’s parking lot.
Fee: $5.00 members, $15.00 non-members per car.
We will be running with FRS/GMRS radios set to Channel 7 - Subchannel 21.
