I bought mine recently from Morristown Mini. I didn't have any problems with them. They really don't budge on the price but I guess that's Mini and what happens when you don't just pick one off the lot. They took their time to explain me the car and I have never seen plates get in so quick for a new car. I would recommend them.
Guess it depends on where you are coming from too...

Well so far our experience at Prestige MINI in Mahwah has been great! The people are really nice and they always have rallies in which we participate in. We usually get our service done there. One time I needed a loaner car, they put me in an '08 Cooper (it even had heated seats), I was very pleased. I ordered my Clubman there but hasn't been shipped yet (this will be my first vehicle purchase there) So try them out if you are towards the northern Region. Morristown is okay too. They have great deals on accessories.

I didn't buy from Morristown, but I get my service done there and have had only good experiences. You also have the added benefit of ordering from their parts website (at web discount pricing) and you can pick up or have them install directly. When I was shopping to buy, they weren't able/willing to do much on trade-in so I bought private party.

gf bought & services from princeton (06 MCS) w/ no problems so far. i bought and service mine from morristown. would definitely recommend them over prestige any day. had horrible buying experience at prestige (resulting in me not taking delivery) and have heard nothing but bad things about the auto group as a whole.

I bought my Mini from Princeton MINI. My MA was Dan and he did a good job. If you do use him, just tell him that Russell referred you.

My GF got her MINI over three years ago from Princeton MINI and has been very happy w/ the service there. I bought my MCS there a month ago and should take delivery of it very soon.

Please note that you CAN bargain hard - especially now. Several people have gotten $1000 below msrp from Otto's (eastern PA). I think w/ a reference that you could likely get the same thing from Princeton MINI also (the manager there is Jeremy). If you name drop me, it should help.

Please also consider whether it would be acceptable for you to buy a 2007 with low miles. We got my sweetie a MCS 2007 w/ 4200 miles for only $22K on nearby long island. Quite a deal

Also there are a few cars available on the NAM marketplace - check those out.

If you want a 2005 MC in Black-Eyed Purple with auto trans - we're selling Amy's old one and will give you a nice deal ...

We bought our MINI from Princeton MINI last summer and were happy with the experience. Our MA was Joe P. and he bent over backwards to make it a good buying and delivery process. The service department is also very good, free wi-fi, free loaner etc.. I would recommend them. N.B. they are under new corporate ownership, but the daily operations are the same. I heard there are plans to expand.

I don't know about cash discounts, but we got free dealer installed accessories. It's worth the same to us, but costs the dealer less, so there is more room to negotiate.

Thanks!!!

Wow....so many responses so quick!

This is so helpful.
Everbody on the boards here has been so friendly and kind.
Makes me want the Mini even more if that is even possible.

Seems to me it is down to Morristown and Princeton. Morristown is closest to me but I don't mind driving. Trying to decide the dealer with such recommendations is almost as difficult as trying to decide what options/color I want.

I am def. going new...leaning towards the Mellow Yellow with black stripes.
I think it looks great. Was not a fan of the previous Yello but I think MY is a great look. Black and Gold----must be the Steelers influence on me.

Thanks again and I will keep the board posted and looking forward to getting my car!

Also check out http://nemini.org for more input. A lot of central NJ MINI owners there and a great group of people.

ordered from princeton mini about a month ago. plan on picking it up tomorrow and have been leaving messages with the salesman to get the vin number to give to the insurance company since last week. salesman doesnt even bother calling back. and some other annoying little things here and there. not sure if that reflects princeton mini or the salesman. im getting the impression that they only care about you until they get yor money. ill find out tomorrow, hopefully it goes well.

Just picked up an S Clubman from Morristown Mini this past saturday. Joe Scarpa was my MA. No issues at all. He provided good (I thought) straight advice on performance options and did what he said he would, and was there when I had questions every step of the way.

Also Joe and the dealership were straight on dates - I ordered Mar 15, was told to expect delivery at end of April, and car was available for pick-up on Apr 24.

Manish,

You can lookup the VIN anytime you want.

1. Production # - you got this the day that you ordered your MINI. Look at your paperwork. The black and white laser printer page.

2. Go to the Owners Lounge: Once you have your production number you can goto www.miniusa.com and sign-in to the owners lounge. Go to the Where's my baby? page. View Source for your browser and search for "vin". Voila!

Purchasing from Princeton was great. Jeremy Golis is a good guy. Princeton service left a lot to be desired, notwithstanding Isaac's effort (not sure if he's still there).

I've had excellent service experience at Morristown.

That's ok. I'm Jeff by the way. Jkling is my double-secret agent name and so shouldn't be used.

You should have a yellow buyers order and a white page with your options etc. The latter has your production # on it - upper left area. If you don't have this, just call and ask anyone at Princeton MINI to give it to you - then follow the instructions to get the VIN.

By the way - you won't be getting your car tomorrow if you placed a custom order. These cars won't be ready for several more days - probably until Sat or perhaps even Monday.

Jeff

Here is another vote for Prestige Mini. Great service and free coffee :-D. I stop in almost once a week to get a car wash and caffeine. Sales staff is really nice. The guy who i bought my car from is no longer their, but i have spoken to Lenny Danduone. The young guy in service (Matt i think) went to high school with me.

When i first went it their lease prices were a really high, bt after a few emails to other dealers they matched. Been great ever since.
