She sits in a darkened corner of the garage, or maybe the showroom since I am picking her up tomorrow. Maybe when they moved her from the transporter to the dealership, she was expectant. 'Perhaps someone wants little old me after all....not an S like my friends, no cold weather or sport package like those guys over there that are leaving so quickly, maybe someone just likes me for who I am....a manual tranny with a sunroof to let in the sunshine'.
Nothing too flashy, nothing too too fast, just a pretty chili red girl with a black roof waiting to go home. I expect she will be looking her best with her shiny paint, her sweet little Panda face and those cute armoralld tires ready to motor. 'will my driver be a boy or a girl, tall or short, hard on my clutch or not...will he or she really appreciate me the way they should?' YEs! She (me) has been waiting for you for a long time. Penelope will be in for some surprises. Most minis drive home. This girl, Penelope, will drive about 80 miles to Cape Cod and then drive onto a steamship that will take her to her little island home 2 hours away. She will be amazed when she meets her big sister, Mrs T (Tahoe), but she will know as she pulls into her own little garage that she is home.

Penelope is home tonight and the wait was more than worth it.
Love her more than I thought I would....now I have to figure out how everything works.....Thanks everyone for your great support and I am thrilled to be a fellow enthusiast and owner...
