Erratic Service Mileage Counter
I have noted last week that the Service Interval Counter was at 500 Kms but went up to 700 Kms this morning! 
It is weird because it should go down, right?
Has anyone experienced this fluctuation?
My car is 04 MCS and has about 18,600 Kms. I have done self oil change + filter at 10,000 Kms without resetting.

Yes, its normal
It will fluctuate somewhat, depending on your driving style and the type of driving you do.
Edit: 18,000 Km's on an '04? And I thought I was conservative...
