Awesome! My wife would call it the Vomitatious Trail! Although she calls even a straight road that when I drive.

Not bad, for a 1/2 mile stretch... but the Tail of the Dragon would eat that for lunch. The Dragon has an average of 28.9 turns per mile, for 11 miles!

(Many people have heard the "318 turns in 11 miles" statement, but few have actually done the math to even wrap your head around just how twisty it really is...)

Looks cool, but it's kinda funny that the incline doesn't seem to justify it -- couldn't they have built that as a straight road? maybe 1 or 2 turns?

MiniDaMoocher, please please please trace your email back and give us at least a hint of where this is. I haven't been to the Dragon yet, but what looks unique here is that you can see all the curves- it's essentially a large slalom. Maybe the road could have been straight- but who cares when you're driving it?!

I don't care what continent this is on, it's going on my list of "roads to drive before I die".

I don't know any more than you do, but looking for it I came across this one called Stelvio Pass in Italy:
