Picture of MINIs on a ship?
Someone posted this in another thread somewhere - these are not on the ship but at the port (i think). Regardless, they look cool!

Thanks!
Oh, one other thing -- I see folks here that seem to know the name of the ship their en route MINI is on (and enjoying the buffets and parties). How do you find the name of your ship?

Your MA should know...
Yep, that's what i did. Most are shipped using WW i think, but some are on another shipping line. So, if you dont find it on the WW website, then it's through someone else (K-Line, or something?)
Some photos on my site at the Southhampton docks I found here on the forum.

How to get a photo of your MINI's cruise ship
Here's what I got from Walenius Wilhelmson. Click Cargo tracking. Click Auto cargo. Enter your VIN. You get a Cargo Status History page that lists ship and loading date. To get a picture of your ship, click About Us. In Related Links, click either Wilh. Wilhelmson or Wallenius Lines (You apparently have to guess which.) Most of the vessel names I've seen on NAM for MINI shipments seem to be part of Wallenius lines (Aida, Fedora, Isolde, Madame Butterfly, Manon, Tristen, etc.)
At Wallenius Lines, click The Fleet in the top row of button. Find the name of your ship and click it. You get a little fact sheet about the ship plus a thumbnail. Click the thumbnail to get a larger picture.
At Wilh. Wilhelmson, find Fleet listed under Shipping. Click Fleet and find your vessel. Click Fact Sheet in the right column in the row corresponding to your vessel name. You get a fact sheet with a small photo. You can right-click to view image and save it.
And one other thing, I just found out that if you change a picture in your signature, it changes the pictures in everything you've ever posted. I assumed I'd be able to track old pictures of my MINI as it materialized in my signatures, but all my sigs seem to have now been updated to a pic of the Isolde. (WIKIMINI DRIVEN ON BOARD AT 1:52 PM ON 4/14/2008)
P.S. What this loading time means is that the status of your MINI may change from awaiting transport to en route some length of time before the car is actually loaded on the ship. I believe my status changed on 4/12 or 4/13. Perhaps it changes when a batch of MINIs start loading?
