Drive the Mile 2008
Sunday May 4, 2008 at 9:00 am
NEW MEETING Location: Park n' Ride Lot at 76th Street/Petit National Ice Center at 9 am
Foyt, Andretti, Allison, Earnhardt, Kulwicki, Kenseth, Musgrave and now YOU can take your turn driving on the historic Milwaukee Mile! Calling all Milwaukee MINI members - and anyone else interested in a unique driving experience!
Join us on Sunday, May 4th for the DRIVE THE MILE event with the opportunity to drive 3 laps around the Milwaukee Mile! Last year the MINIS had the largest car club contingent there with 26 MINIS – let’s make it even larger this time around!
Register by April 15th = cost is $10 + 2 cans of food, otherwise registrations postmarked after April 15th = $15.
ONCE YOU’VE COMPLETED YOUR LAPS: We'll proceed out of the gates to a central location for a reasonably priced bunch. Or, feel free to stay for the car show on your own!
SMALL PRINT: Must be 18 years of age and older to drive. Must present a valid drivers license and must present proof of current vehicle insurance. No exceptions.

MINI MONDAY: ICE CREAM SOCIAL
Monday, May 19, 2008- 7:00 pm
LOCATION: Douglas Avenue Diner at 5121 Douglas Ave. (Greentree Shopping Center, just north of 4 Mile Road) in Racine.
A fifty's style diner that serves malts and burgers. Suggested by Milwaukee MINIS member Robert S. who has arranged for free soda for all drivers!
MINI Monday's are a great opportunity to socialize with fellow MINI owners! Each month we pick a local custard stand to gather - we typically have between 15 - 20 MINI's in attendance. Come one and all - no need to RSVP for these gatherings. SUGGESTION: Bring lawn chairs!

I'm a CMMC member who plans to go. I mailed my registration before the dealine. I'm coming from Lincoln Square and will meet at your designated location. If anyone from Chicago wants to meet locally, let me know.
I just put a post out on the Chicago MINI Motoring Club website to see if enough Chicago area people wanted to head in together..
Just a heads up, the meeting spot for the Drive the Mile has changed. I've added the Google Maps link. You may also want to check out the Milwaukee MINIs Events site for more details.
