19mm Hotchkis rear sway bar installed!

Just got the bar installed last evening and drove it through some winding roads today. WOW. What a cornering difference. We set the end links to the middle hole. Really a big difference on this little beast. Absolutely a terrific mod. I've added the Hotchkis rear sways to my 81 El Camino and it also improved roadability significantly. I guess that rear sway bars on damn near anything simply improves handling. Go for it!!!!!

Took the little car on about a 200 mile up and back on mountain roads on Highway 88 from Jackson to Carson Valley in Nevada. What a great difference in driveability. Curves that were posted at 35MPH were easily taken at twice that and the car cornered FLAT! I have driven this stretch prior without the improved 19mm rear sway and could really tell the difference.

To paraphrase one of the guys on the forum, I did have some wierd noise from inside the car on some of the more hairy curves, it went something like "TOOFASTTOOFASTTOOFAST". I finally figured it out, it was my wife. :=)

I like hotchicks, but 18mm is a tad short.

Since the new(R56) have a 18mm...you could benefit from Alta's 22mm...

I thought the standard suspension on the R56 MCS was 17mm, and the sport suspension was 18mm. Am I wrong?

Edit: I just looked up the 19mm Hotchkis rear sway bar and they say it is tubular (and I don't mean in the "Dude" sense). So, wouldn't have about the same, or less stiffness than a 17mm solid bar?

...I am not sure if it is 17mm or 18mm I am going to have to look...

My 19mm is a solid bar...I know the 25mm Comp bar is tubular...
