The previous owner of my '05 MCS got some goo all inside the switches and Air ***** in the middle console, how do I get at them to clean them up good?

 

Well my search powers are failing me tonight. Look around for how to remove the toggle bank. Pretty easy to do, and once it's out you can remove the face and clean the toggles.

The '05s have tapered downtubes, so you can't pull them up and out - they have to be slid down through the console.

 

You can loosen the screws on the sides of the downtubes, pop off your driver's side knee bolster, open the glove box, and pop out the bottom of the instrument cluster. This will give you enough room to get to the screws that hold the toggle switch panel in. Just did this tonight.
