Is the JCW body kit lower than the stock body kit?

is the JCW body kit lower than the stock body kit? im wondering because i rather like the stock kit, its nice, but the side skirts are ulgy black plastic and i'd like to change them (once i have my car) to the jcw ones, i like how its more body color and less black plastic. i got the idea from this side pic of the new JCW R113s which i love and want wicked bad because the pic is my cholor scheme red with black. so the trim on the wheel wells look like they should match up but i dont know if theres going to be a height different between the bottom of the bumpers and the sides. anyone know? if so how much? -thanks... god its good to be back

I think the side skirts a bit lower than the stock plastic ones, but I can't say for certain.

Not sure of the sides or rear, but I have read that people are scraping the front more with the JCW kit on. For sure some have lost those bottom plastic fins just in front of the tires from scraping them off. That's without any lowering.

Yeah the front bumper is significantly lower than stock. I do have pictures of that:

it does look like the Jcw is lower, but i cant tell why? it looks as if the dimensions of the trim pieces are the same, just ones all black plastic and the jcw is more body color and a thin strip of black along the bottom. im just going to have to swing by mini this weekend. thanks tho.

does anyone know if you can purchase the JCW kit anywhere else besides the dealer? Was wondering if I can get it cheaper??

Also, anyone know what the dealer typically charges to install + paint the JCW kits??

I started a thread on this a while back:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=112541

SUMMARY: While portions of the JCW front bumper are about an inch lower, the air diffusers on the stock bumper, which are the lowest point of possible contact, are the same as on the JCW.

That's another topic for another thread.

I was told when I ordered mine the JCW kit was about an inch lower in the front compared to the factory aero. This is the reason they don't do a factory install due to shipping concerns of it getting ripped off.
