MINI5280 Meeting 4/08/2008 7:00 PM

This month's MINI5280 club meeting will be held at 7:00 PM, April 8th at the Lowry Tavern. We plan on discussing some upcoming motoring opportunities, the HPR donation match and a AMVIV recap complete with photos (so put your photos on a RAM stick and bring them with you).

You can find a link to the tavern's website here: http://www.tavernhospitalitygroup.com/lowry

And a Google map here: Lowry Tavern

--------------------------------------------------
Lowry Tavern 7401 E/ 1st Ave, Denver, CO 80230 (303.366.0007)
The Tavern Lowry and The Soiled Dove Underground share a beautiful, brand-new, state-of-the-art building in the heart of the Lowry Landmark Urban Community. Tavern Lowry is a perfect place to meet friends or watch a game. Unwind outside on the beautiful patio featuring a soothing waterfall. This family-friendly warm neighborhood tavern, offering traditional and unique tavern fare, also serves up some of the best options for banquets and private parties.

Free parking for Tavern guests is available around the building and adjacent lots.

See you there!

I will try to make the meeting.

It is lightly cloudy and cool in San Diego. The afternoons are nice.

The prediction is for rain tonight and for my beginning drive in the AM Thursday, but it should dry out by the time I hit Arizona. I hope so.

Everyone take care and have a good day.

They describe their place as "family-friendly" so I would guess yes.

If none of those mods work out for you Hooptie, my kids have woefully underfunded college funds that would enjoy a contribution.

I wasn't able to attend last night (as those in attendance may have noticed) so I'm going to have to ask if I missed anything.

How was the locale? Did I miss anything good? Bad? Ugly?

Hope it was a good meeting at a sucessful venue. Though some time in the future I'd appreciate a meeting more Southish than Northish. Location was one reason we did not attend last night (besides having too many other things to do).

I second the "southish"!!!
We missed you Jacob! The room was nice where we had the meeting. We had our own room with wall to wall windows, but the tavern was LOUD & made hearing everyone difficult. Food was good, service wasn't, but the fun MINI5280 people made up for that!!
Come on the ride Sat & we'll tell you more!

I think when Bush set this place up for our MINI meeting they thought is was going to be really small (mini get it?).
I think for May we will all be ready for a outdoor meeting - Sonic anyone? Which one(s)?

Hey All - Sorry I missed the meeting. (again) And I'm also sorry I am going to miss this Saturday's run. I had originally signed up but ended up with dinner and Comedy Works tickets for that night so I had to give up Walden. I hope ya'll have fun!!
And as far as the meeting locations - I'm with Shelly & Jacob. I'd love to see more meetings down south.Since I live in Ken Caryl I'd really appreciate a meeting place closer to home. I'm sure I'm not the only one who lives out that way. Any chance of maybe having one out south in the future??

Thanks and happy motoring!

As for meeting spots - make an offer! South, North, East or West we probably have members there so mixing it up is a good thing. Next month should be warmer /glances at snow outside/ so keep that in mind. A quick bite at a drive-in and a ride, a lark in the park or a group car wash at Jonathan's (he already has offered - I got it in writing).
Think creative and inclusive and let me know.

Hey Shelly & Jacob - any ideas on a good meeting place out south?? How about any other south people out there?? I love the idea of a quick bite and ride! Especially now that the weather (cross fingers...knock on wood) is getting better!

Nothing immediately comes to mind Jezebel; I'll give it some thought and let you know what I come up with.
