Hey, I know that this has probably been asked before, but I did a search and couldn't find anything.
1. Is there any sticky residue after the stripes are removed?
2. Can you stick the same removed stripe on again either in the same place or a different place?
Thanks so much for answering if you know, I am a rookie at this stripe stuff and kinda botched them slightly.

 

I am not sure about the sticky residue, but if you have the MINI bonnet stripes you probably will not be able to use them again. I had my dealer install mine. After a few hours the stripes started to bubble. I took them back a day later and had them do it again. They had to put on new stripes. Hope this helps.

 

There may be some adhesive residue after removing stripes, but if you use heat or remove them in the hot sun and go very slow, all the adhesive should come up with the vinyl. If there is any adhesive left on the car, elbow grease and maybe a little citrus cleaner works best. Be sure to wax again after using any kind of cleaner on the paint as most cleaners will also take the wax off. You will not be able to re-use the stripes after removing.

A mixture of sopy water and alcohol will also do a good job at removing any excess residue left on your MINI. This will also take off your wax, but not damage the paint.

 

Thanks for all of your input. I actually removed the stripe without any residue. I was also able to apply it to a different area without any problems!! It surprisingly worked out.
