Just wondering if anyone is headed to MOTD on Thursday from the Southwest Florida area. (Naples, Fort Myers, Port Charlotte, Venice, Sarasota...) If so, maybe we can set up a caravan. My son and I will be leaving from Port Charlotte.

A lot of people from Florida are going up earlier and stopping overnight in Helen, Ga on Monday night. As minimotorin said, you might get more response on www.sunshineminis.org.
I'm actually leaving on Saturday the 26th and visiting family on the way up. I'd love to caravan back on Sunday, though!

 

I'm leaving out of Lake Placid bright and early Wednesday, April 30th. I have an appointment Thursday morning for some mods by WayMotorWorks at Fontana plus I've bought in to the welcoming dinner Wednesday night. I could be interested in convoying back on Sunday if you are a leadfoot like I am.

I'll be leaving from the Bryson City area. We have a house a few mile from the intersection of 28 & 74 We usually take 28 south through Franklin and south from there. I have no problem trying out an alternate way south.

 

I think I asked the wrong driver. Need to know where TReed is coming from.

OK, we got Robbinsville, Bryson City and Fontana origins. Anybody got an idea for a meeting point?
TReed said they were leaving out of Fontana around 8:30. That makes a long day for RGC and hog because we gotta drive further into FL than TReed does. I had hoped to get out about 7ish and stop in ATL for breakfast. I can be flexible tho. You all make your suggestions and let's see if there is a meeting of the minds.

 

I'm sure my passenger would be happy to leave at 7AM, but I am trying to be realistic because I'm not much of a morning person and I want to do MKOTD this year which = not much sleep.

 

Why don't we get together at Fontana? Maybe at the welcome dinner or mixer afterwards. Also I'm going to the SSM Farewell dinner Sat. night.

 

Sounds good! I'm sure there will be others from SSM who will also want to caravan back on Sunday.
