Any concievable way

To install the factory navigation after the car has been built. I have 07 mini Cooper S and I desperately wanted the nav but couldn't afford it. Now I can and I needed to know if there was anyway to install post-build.

I have heard that the ones who have looked into it have gone mad running about screaming incoherent oddities. I didn't take it as a good sign.

I bet it "could be" done, but not for anywhere near the $2000 option price. Looking to change my headliner, the price went from a $250 option to $882 in parts. That's what about an increase of x 3.5. So the NAV would be $7000 in parts. It would probably be wiser (more cost efficient) to sell your car and order one with NAV.

I seriously doubt it is a possibility. The MINIs are built with an option specific wiring harness. Zero of the wires for the NAV are there.
