CARBON ORCIARI BONNET VENTS SCOOPS

I'm new to this forum but have visited from time to time and am now ready to kick things up a few notches with my 04. I have ordered the orciari bonnet vent scoops from Mini Mania and heard that someone had these or something very similar covered in real carbon. Does anyone have pictures of these or know who could lay up the carbon on mine and how much cost there is and please don't advise using fake carbon? BTW this forums members have some of the best MINIs I've seen.
Hope to be at AMVIV but doubt I can have the vents done by then.

The only CF cowl scoops I have seen are (were) the ones made by Benfer. I don't think they are available anymore, but you can check around. I have the Orciari scoops painted body color and really like them.

No more Benfer products--unfortunately. I saw some a couple of years ago and they were very nice. Pity they are around.

Are you looking for something like these?
Pix from Rogue Motorsports, roguemotorsports@gmail.com, I plan on having some made myself. Quoted me $150.00 to overlay the carbon for the pair, so you have to provide the vents and shipping.

Those look really nice. Does Rouge Motorsports have a website by chance?

I know Jim is building a site for the classic mini roguese7ens.com and said if interest continues he plans to start one for cooper stuff plus he does the carbon work for AC. He also offers a good discount for forum and club members that help promote his parts.

Thanks for the replies. Those pictures are exactly the ones I was looking for. I haven't purchased much yet in carbon, is that priced about right?

I asked Jim about possible group buy on these vents and he said that if he had 5 orders that he would give an extra discount. If any are thinking about carbon vents now would be a good time.

Got an updated idea today from Jim. He said that instead of overlaying the bonnet scoops he would consider making a new scoop that would mount over the existing vents and these scoops would be molded in carbon and sell for around $150 to $200 and we wouldn't need to buy ones to have covered.

I got a confirmation today that Rogue Motorsports will make new bonnet scoops similar to the Orciari in style but will be made in carbon fiber and won't need to be covered. The price for forum members will be around $175.00 and we don't have to spend the $190.00 on the Orciari ones making it much cheaper. Jim said he will try to get to this soon.

I'm in! Let me know when this is a go. Hopefully even a little cheaper than $175.

I keep telling people where to get these . VIS racing, 30min from my office and I can pick up a set.

I just got the CF hoop scoop lip to replace my fake CF BBR scoop. Really nice work. The cowl vents will be soon.

I also like the CF mid wing and the CF front spoiler.
