I'm going autocrossing this Sunday, at the Giant Stadium. Anyone else going?

 

Saaaay what?? AutoXing at Giants Stadium!?!

 

Details? Sponsored event?

 

I think the ones at giants stadium are NASA events.

 

Ive heare about those events. Are they held in the parking lot?

 

Next Autocross event at NJ Meadowlands is 6/22/08, Northern NJ Porsche club is the sponser. Be there before 8AM as the lines get long

 

Theres a BMW club event also on the 22nd but its at PNC center parking lot, which is by GSP 117.

 

The next Autocross at the Meadowlands with NNJR will be on Sunday July 20.
Hope to see some of you out there. I know there are going to be member from the BMW club, Porsche club of NY,NJ,CT and PA.

Which club's autocross?

 

The event on July 20th is hosted by Northern NJ Porsche club, keep in mind that everyone is invited to run, there is as many Non Porsche cars as there are Porsche cars. Even if you have never autocrossed before and want to try but are somewhat not comfortable, come down. We have plenty of instructors. I will be helping register everyone and setting the course, if you want an instructor just ask me and i will jump in the car with you.
Bring food and drink as nothing is available at the meadowlands. I think the fee is 35.00.

Funny - this Sunday I will be at the SF Giants stadium doing SCCA Auto -x.

 

There ia another Autocross this Sunday at The Meadowlands here in NJ
All are welcome, be there by 8Am or so to sign up, it will be a fast course.

 

I think I may be interested in this. Do you need to bring anything else besides $35, food, and drinks? ie. Helmet? Racing Harness?

P.S. I've never autoX before...

 

Helmet rated for at least snell 2000 or better. It really depends on the organizer's rules. You may be able to get away with a recent motocycle helmet. And they may have loaners for the event.

Good tire pressure gauge (longacre). that's about it for a first time. If you want to spend more money: harness, light weight wheels with dedicated rubber, brake pads, and better brake fluid. And there's plenty more to buy!

 

If you have a Helmut bring it,, if not they have loaners available. Bring food and drinks, you really do not need anything else. There will be plenty of people at the event if you need help just ask.
