JCW CAI not working

can anyone give me some tips as to why my JCW CAI isn't working? i installed it myself, and it was perfectly fine until yesterday.

1. i checked the vacuum lines to holes, leaks etc. they check out.
2. i checked the power from the fuse box. it checks out.
3. i checked the yellow wire connector to the ECU. look ok, even though it WAY back there.

any issues with you all?

Wow, I didn't know the JCW has some kind of hookup to the ECU. What does it do? I mean it's just a intake .

IF THE FLAP ISNT OPENING THE VACUUM LINE IS NOT CONNECTED. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE. IT IS A VERY SMALL LINE AND EASILY BECOMES DISCONECTED.

it regulates when the door opens for more air. the JCW CAI is the same looking boxed filter, but when you hit 4500 rpm the intake door opens. i could tell something was wrong cuz i dont hear the supercharger as distinct at 4500+ rpm

That wire crimp thing they give you for the ECU splice is a little hinky - and, at least on mine, the wires had to STRETCH to splice it together... possible that it's pulled apart inside the crimp? But I'd re-check vacuum likes and power first, before I took the splice apart. If I ever take mine apart again, I'm gonna solder and heat-shrink it.
