Stuck on a ship, want an RC MINI :D

i'm in the navy, and i'm currently stuck away from my car, and i just got an idea, i know my brother has built an exact replica of his 350 z, rc car, even got almost identical rims etc.

anyone know of a good little rc kit that you can replace parts on?

i have a spray can of the same color as my car, just looking for a customizable model, if that even exists :p

Don't know about an RC with a MINI body but there are many kits that have swappable bodies. When I was in AIT for the Army and couldn't drive I bought a PS2 and Grand Turismo. I never played videogames before the Army.

Here is a page detailng a Tamiya 1/10th RC MINI. You can't order it here, but it has the part number that any hobby store that sells Tamiya stuff can order it with.

Hasn't it already been established that speed isn't everything with MINIs?

I'd stick with Tamiya and their legendary quality. I've owned a few of thier R/C cars and countless scale models from them. Their level of detail is unsurpassed.

You might want to consider a Kyosho Mini-z, they're 1/28th scale, handle great, fast for their size, and you can go mod crazy with them!

On that site the 139 dollar ones are ready-to-run, meaning it's comes with the controller and everything, just add batteries (rechargeable of course)

Here's a pic of my mini-z..

I actually had a Nissan Skyline body at first, but recently ordered the MINI body for it.
