Well, Tomorow I will call in my order to one of my local German wheel guys. I have narowed the choices down to 2. The first is the new BBS RZ and the second is the new O.Z. Superleggera. The BBS would give My MINI a more retro look while the OZ would give it a more ... well I don't know, but I really like it. Here's the pics

Out of the two I would probably go with the BBSs. Search around on the MINI2 personal galleries and you might find some. Another set of BBSs that I really like, and think are better than both of those are these BBS RGRs.

But I say go with the BBSs and post some pics when you get them.

Bk_MCS,
Is there any particular reason for the BBS pref? I would love to hear the reasoning behind it. It may sway me over to the BBS after all. I know the BBS are a heavier wheel than the OZ. The OZ weighs in at 6.9 Kg...I don't have the exact weight of the BBS, just know its heavier. 15.18lbs is fairly light for a wheel I think.

Thanks
Frank

There is currently a set of those BBS 5 spoke on ebay with Dunlop performance run flat tires for $910 (reserve not met).

I like the Superleggera much better, especially on your IB/B. The OZ will give your MINI a more technical, functional look. I never did like the BBS RZ, reminds me of a Camaro wheel

Good luck,
Ryan

Frank, it'd be useful to know what your requirements are. Are you needing style? Are you needing weight savings? Are you needing easy to clean? Are you needing a certain color?

Either way I go I will be cutting back on weight... So I guess that not really a concern. I sort of like the color of the OZ better. I couldn't find a good picture of the new model. It has a brighter silver to it. Just to let you all know, I am planning on dropping an inch or so. Also the ease of cleaning would be a plus. I do plan on doing a big-brake kit also, but that will not be for a few years. I'll end up painting the callipers.

Thanks for the inputs
Frank

I like the OZ.
Noticed the wheels use five bolts, will you have to install an adapter or do they have the wheels with a four bolt pattern?

I dont know why. I think it has something to do with the Euro heritage of the BBSs that just appeals to me. I see too much OZ on rice so I hate it more every time (yeah it's stupid). Either choice would be good. But I think racer tom says it better with his e-bay link. That sounds like a real good price for some BBSs with tires.

By the way those RGRs (I dont know why the pic doesnt work anymore?) are over $400 a piece if I remember right. Tire rack has them I believe.

I decided on the BBS RZs. I really do like the OZs, but I think it was mostly for the name. I did some serious thinking on it and decided that the BBS better suited my mini and my personnality. Thanks for all your halp everyone. I'll post some pictures tomorow when they are installed.
