Has anyone heard of MAGNEX?

I like how it looks, but know nothing about it performance wise. Here's a picture and description

Can someone tell me if this is a good choice? If not, what do you guys recommend. I was going for the RSpeed at first and now I'm having second thoughts.

Is this a cat back system specifically designed for the MINI? Or is it just the muffler that must be welded to the stock pipes?

 

That is a REALLY nice looking muffler and tip! Sounds like quality stuff. As far as performance goes, none of the aftermarket Cooper exhausts seem to yield anything more than 5-6 hp, so you're probably unlikely to be shooting yourself in the foot by buying it.

I have the Borla on my car, and absolutely love it! It only gives me 5 hp or so on paper, but it certainly feels a lot faster. And I thought it was the nicest-looking of the bunch until I saw the pic you posted of the Magnex.

There have to be dyno numbers SOMEWHERE for this one. Have you tried inquiring over on mini2.com?
