Loose end at high speed Part II

Life has many aspects to it. We all tend to devot our time were we are needed and less so emersed in those things we love. Unfortunately for me, this creates a less than desirable atmosphere for experimentation, and more importantly, continuity.

A recent, and re-occurring glitch with my mini's brakes, may point to my braking stability - a sticky rear caliper caused in part by sticking E-brake line. I'll not jump into the details knowing this may apply to few. But it is worth a look. The inside right rear pad is almost totally worn despite a new looking outside pad.

i had the same problem on the other side. my left wore out prematurely. i replaced my lines with stainless steel and the fluid with ATE super blue. only time will tell if these changes are going to help. have you tried anything to correct it yet?

I haven't replaced the E-brake line, but the calipers are tended too often. SS lines were installed two years ago and the fluid is changed 2-3 times a year.

The calipers and pads are meticulously installed...so one wonders.

There you go. You are changing your fluid too much and are not giving it time to break in properly.

meb: i hope this is the solution to your problem. i don't think that it is mine. i've worn out 3 sets of rear pads equally.....inside to outside and left to right. i'll keep experimenting and let you know how it goes.....
