R53 rear end on a R50?

Is this possible or just something that is unreachable? The exhaust is no problem. Also how much would I be looking to spend on one from the forums. Lastly if you have you and might be willing to sell in a few months PM me.

An MCS rear bumper is very feasible on an MC. You don't even have to get a new exhaust. You just need to swap the rear valances from one to the other. I would think you could get a bumper for about $150 to $200, maybe even a little less. I was going to do this until I found an aero rear for my MC. Good Luck.

it is very easy to do. Just swap bumpers and valances (although the valances and side tim don't fit perfect).

I have swapped my r53 bumpers for a set of r50's on both mini's i have owned. I prefer the eary 2002 to 2004 r50 bumpers.

and the 2002 that I owned:

Bringing this one back to life for a few questions. Will the R50 valence fit on the R53 bumper or will you have to change both? I like the R53 bumper but would like to do the single side exhaust without cutting the car up. Any input? Thanks in advance!!

So is it true i would need just the cover and the trim would swap over? I think i read that it had to be a 02-04 MCS bumper and 02-04 R50 trim not a 05 plus cause something about the trim is different on the facelift R50.

That's right. They changed the trim on the 05. Should swap over otherwise.

A couple years ago I bought front and rear bumpers from an '05 MC. Front bumper went on no problem. I got bored today and looked at the rear bumper (see photo). I am not able to put the '05 MC rear bumper on my '06 MCS because the trim piece curves up in the middle, correct?

Has there ever been a trim piece like this with the exhaust in the center?

Sorry to revive the thread, but I wanted to make sure before I get rid of the bumper. Thanks!
