So what's this worth?

First, this is NOT a F.S. post... I'm hoping I won't need to sell!
BUT
I may need to, so I was trying to figure out what my baby is worth...

KBB has the price at 23K
NADA has it at 20K

Its a dark-silver '06 MCS w/ 35K mostly highway miles loc. in N.NJ
manual
space-gray cloth w/ drak gray inter.
LSD,
Cruise,
A UK-Mini imported silver union jack roof graphic
17" mini-not-so-lights w/ brand new GoodYear F1 GSD3s (not yet mounted)
and spare set of enkei 17" winter wheels with 1/2 worn Hakka's

No MODS (except the aftermarket winter wheels).
The car was CPO'd and has a 6yr 100K warr.

So George really worth 23K?
The mktplace has people in the 16-18K range...

Thanks for the help, as I'm just being research I hopefully won't need to follow through on...

i would say that the warranty is enticing and may grab you some extra. i would say 20K is a good answer.

I bought my November '06 build MCS with 11 miles on it back in April of 2007 and paid $24K. The car has the upgrade sound system, cold weather package, premium package and the sport package.

So, I'm not so sure about $23K for an '06 MCS with 35K miles ...I think that would make my car worth more than I paid for it.

Dean.

I would say $20K would be a good starting point, but as you said. Many folks sell them below that. Quick sale would be 18.5K to 19K.

Did you check and see what edmunds.com has for your value? They have a great TMV system there...

Does the CPO warranty transfer to the next person? I was surprised that it didn't on my CPO'd Lexus. Mine had a 6 year 100,000 mile warranty that I thought would be a great resell plug. checked into it and it wouldn't transfer.
Not sure how Mini works that, but worth checking into.

As far as pricing you should look online at Autotrader.com, Cars.com, Craigslist.com, Ebay, etc.. Just look at cars within 100 miles of you. That should tell you what people in your area are willing to pay.
If you want a quick sale, price closer to trade in. If you want to squeeze every penny out, price it closer to KBB.

The CPO stays with the car, regardless if you are the second or third owner.

BMW says that the CPO stays with the car, and checking Ebay, Craigslist, Autotrader, Edmunds, KBB all show that I'd be good in the 22-23K range!

20K would be a quick sale...

I'm surprised edmunds is placing you in the 22-23k range. I just did a quick estimate, and unless you have some options and option packages not listed above, come up with a $17k range. You'll get some extra for the CPO -- but I wouldn't write off 20k as a quick sale.

For example: this guy's is loaded and with about same mileage and colors -- and he's not getting much response in the marketplace at $19k --
